14-Day Self-Drive Itinerary
Days 1 and 2: Victoria Falls Hotel
Stay two nights at the Victoria Falls Hotel. It opened in 1904 and is known as “the grand old lady of the falls.” It is a 5-star colonial hotel in tropical gardens on a World Heritage Site, with views of Victoria Falls.

Days 3 and 4: Muchenje Safari Lodge, near Chobe National Park
Drive to Muchenje Safari Lodge on the border of Chobe National Park. The lodge sits on an escarpment with views over the Caprivi Strip. Spend two nights exploring Chobe and its wildlife and birds.
Overnight: Muchenje Safari Lodge
Days 5 and 6: Ghoha Hills, Savuti
Drive deeper into Chobe to Savuti. Ghoha Hills is about 45 minutes from the main Savuti area. The lodge has a pool, good food, good guides and wide views. It breaks the drive between Chobe and Khwai.
Overnight: Ghoha Hills
Days 7 and 8: Sable Alley, Khwai
Drive south to Khwai. Sable Alley sits on a lagoon next to the Khwai River. Large numbers of animals come to the lagoon to drink every day.
From here you can visit Moremi Game Reserve, which is close by, and the Khwai Private Reserve. The private reserve has ravine woodland, open floodplains and mopane woodland. Wild dog, rhino and sable live here.

Days 9 and 10: Okuti, Moremi Game Reserve
Stay at Okuti, a camp on the Maunachira River. The river flows through Xakanaxa Lagoon in Moremi Game Reserve. Moremi has steady game viewing all year, which suits first-time visitors to Botswana.
Join game drives in open safari vehicles. You can also explore the delta waterways by motorboat. Herons and storks are easy to see in the breeding season.

Day 11: Gray’s Eden, Maun
Spend the night at Gray’s Eden, a luxury boutique hotel in Maun. You can book spa time or a private dinner in the Cliff Wine Cellar.

Days 12 and 13: Kanana Camp, Okavango Delta
You are transferred to the airport for a short flight into the Okavango Delta. Kanana Camp is on the Xudum River in the south-west of the delta. The area has islands with palm, fig, ebony and knobthorn trees. Birds, plants and animals are plentiful.
Overnight: Kanana Camp
Day 14: Departure
Fly back to Maun airport in good time to connect to your international flight.
